Shit. Shit shit shit. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has had surgery today for pancreatic cancer. She's being treated at Sloan-Kettering; you can read the article here. I hope she is one of the lucky few whose cancer was caught very early and hasn't metastasized.
