But something else that is very dear to me and that I love very much is English/literature/reading. In fact, for a while in high school, I toyed with the idea of majoring in English once I got to college and becoming a professor, or a writer. During the summer, I get to read more "fun" books (although I'm not sure anyone would classify as "fun", the things I read!), and explore writers I've always heard of but only really skimmed over in college. One of these is Anais Nin. She's best known for her diaries. She was friends with - and usually much more - many well-known authors, psychoanalysts, and artists, and wrote about her adventures in her diaries. And until now, I never knew that she actually studied psychotherapy under Otto Rank, who trained with Freud. Although that explains a lot. There are many quotes by her that I love, but I found a few tonight that I wanted to share......
How wrong it is for a woman to expect the man to build the world she wants, rather than to create it herself - Anais Nin
We write in order to live twice. - Anais Nin
Reading now: "White Coat Wisdom" by Stephen Busalacchi; "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer
Listening now: Katie Reider, Jem, Vampire Weekend

Wow! Awesome A. Nin quotes! I did not know she studied psychotherapy! Thanks for sharing!
Here is one of my favorite A. Nin quotes:
"And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." Anais Nin
Congrats on your internship!
