To Write Love on Her Arms

I found this organization last year after a friend of mine had joined their group on Facebook. It originated from this Christian rock band, but they formed an organization to help teens and other people struggling with depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, addiction, etc. It is an amazing organization, and one that truly believes in their mission. They believe that beyond treatment, the support of community is crucial, because we aren't meant to live life alone. Please go to their website and read about them. Two out of three people who are suffering from depression never seek the help that they need. Suicide is the third-leading cause of death among those 18-24 years old. No one talks about this - and maybe if more people did, we'd see those numbers change. This is a great organization, and this holiday season, it's something to think about.
