I have a bone to pick with Christina Applegate. She's made some comments that I find really, really misleading, and are certainly not true. She told "Good Morning America" that "I'm clear. Absolutely 100 percent clear and clean....It did not spread - they got everything out, so I'm definitely not going to die from breast cancer." News flash, Christina - unfortunately, you might. I think this was sort of irresponsible of her to say.....I don't know, maybe it's my own Issues with this, but I really, really hated her comments.
With October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), no doubt we will get lots of news interviews like this, lots of magazine covers, and have pink shoved down our throats for 31 days. Can't wait.
Oh, and FYI, September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month.

TOTALLY AGREE. What was she thinking?! There could absolutely be a couple cells that floated into the blood stream. I think that was irresponsible and made cancer look low key and simple to get rid of in some cases. I don't think it's every easy no matter how early it's caught. I'm happy for her, but come one...can we get a celebrity to back a rare cancer...
I agree as well. Her statement was totally naive, and if she heard that from a physician, s/he probably has no business treating cancer patients.
Really do you think her doctor told her that! She need to be better educated.
