In late July, I will be going to Ohio for 4 days with the Lance Armstrong Foundation, for their Summit on Survivorship. In 2006 it was in Austin, and it was AMAZING. I saw Elizabeth Edwards, Antonia Novella, and saw many other amazing speakers. I also met some awesome people who I am still in contact with today. I came back from that weekend invigorated and inspired, and the LAF has always done that for me, when I go to one of their summits or programs. And, of course, there's always the eye candy that is Lance Armstrong. ;) But we just got an email - Senator McCain will be speaking on his healthcare plan and his plan for cancer care, and the LAF has also invited Hillary and Obama. I hope Hill goes - I really like her healthplan and her approach to cancer care. It should be an exciting event, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Hi Jaime... I found you!
The Summit sounds like a wonderful opportunity for inspiration and making meaningful connections. It's so great that you can attend. Four months ago, I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, had surgery, and now I am one of those thrilled to wear the label "cancer-free survivor."
I hope that "Hill" makes an appearance, too. She's an impressive speaker in person. Ten years ago, when my daughter Jennifer was 10 years old, I took her to listen to Hillary speak about her proposed healthcare plan. I wanted to expose J to strong female role models, and I wasn't disappointed. This weekend, J and I are both headed to the Maine State Democratic Convention as local caucus delegates pledged in support of Hillary. Now you know my politics, too, not just my reading tastes. :)
